FROM CHILDHOOD TO MARRIAGE
Gary and Ciera Brisbane
KCP: When did you meet?
We grew up together; we have been in a relationship for a year and 6 months.
KCP: How did he propose to you?
On our one year anniversary we went to restaurant name Sermets downtown Charleston., that's where Gary made his proposal. He tried keeping the proposal a secret but I found out a couple of days before. When he proposed I gave him a watch that I brought as his anniversary gift and on the back of the watch I had "Yes I will" engraved; so I surprised him!
KCP: Why did you decide to wear African prints for your photo session with me.
We decided to wear African print during the photo shoot because we got married that day and also because its apart of our culture as Africans in america. We are always studying and learning about our history. The real black history!
KCP: What was the best advice you have received about marriage?
One of the best advice given for our marriage is to never put anyone before our family within our house not friends, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, sisters or brothers, and to always keep our business ours!
